Erica completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology while playing hockey for the University of Manitoba and went on to do her Master of Science in physiotherapy from Dalhousie University. She also holds her certificate in sports physiotherapy and is trained in selective functional movement assessment.
After working as a therapist in Grande Prairie for two years, she moved to Calgary and worked with various hockey and football teams, including Hockey Canada. In 2018, she joined Group23 Sports Medicine which connected her with the Canadian Sport Institute Calgary. Erica works with the NextGen freestyle and ski cross teams and her expertise includes dry needling, acupuncture, manual therapy, and exercise prescriptions to correct movement pattern and motor coordination deficiencies that lead to musculoskeletal injury and impairment.
Erica is an elite hockey official and has travelled across Canada and Internationally in this capacity. In her spare time, she plays senior women's hockey, fastball and ball hockey. She also loves hiking, back country camping and photography.
