Isabel Aldrich-Witt MSc.PT, CSCS

Return to Performance Lead

Isabel completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA and is in the process of completing a second Master of Science Degree in Biomechanics from the University of Calgary focusing on her work in knee rehabilitation.

Izzy is the Return to Performance Lead at CSI Alberta, where she leads the rehabilitation and strength and conditioning programming of athletes that enter the Return to Performance Program. This program was created to get athletes back to health and performance, particularly after lower body injuries, with a special emphasis on rehabilitating knee injuries. She builds the athlete’s return to sport and performance plans around clinical assessments, one-on-one rehab/strength and conditioning sessions in the gym, and regular objective neuromuscular testing in the Strength and Power Lab.

In this role, Isabel has worked with athletes from a variety of Canadian national teams including Freestyle, Ski Cross, Biathlon Canada, Hockey, Cross Country, Wrestling, Para-Triathlon, Cycling, Figure Skating, Speed Skating, Alpine, Ski Jumping, and Snowboard.

Isabel previously worked on the Knee Team at the University of Alberta’s Glen Sather Sport Medicine Clinic. She was a facilitator for their Functional Agility and Strength Training (F.A.S.T) Knee Program and provided performance rehabilitation. Izzy has a special interest in knee/ACL, hip/groin and tendon rehabilitation that stems from a background in personal training/coaching.
