Jason Poole  Mkin

Senior Director, Performance Services

Jason completed a Bachelor of Science from North Dakota State University while playing hockey and baseball. Upon graduation, he worked in a Sport Medicine Clinic in North Dakota as an Athletic Trainer and discovered a passion for training athletes. This led him to complete a Master of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary.

Jason joined the Canadian Sport Institute Alberta in 2000 as a strength and conditioning coach. He was a member of the Integrated Support Team for luge at the 2002 & 2006 and for the gold medal winning women’s hockey team at the 2006 Olympic Games. In 2008, Jason moved into the Performance Services role and became an integral part of designing the Institute at WinSport.

Jason now leads the performance services area where he provides strategic direction of our service delivery and development of training group agreements with National Sport Organizations and other stakeholders.

In his spare time, Jason is a volunteer President and coach for Kaizen Softball, is a proud husband and father of two daughters.
