Tessa Gallinger MSc, CSCS, CSEP-CPT

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Tessa completed her Bachelor of Science in kinesiology at the University of Calgary. She also holds a Master of Science from the University of Calgary where she focused her research on high velocity training and muscle length adaptation in individuals with cerebral palsy. 

Tessa works as a strength and conditioning consultant and adaptive strength specialist for the Canadian Sport Institute Alberta. In addition, she works as the lead strength coach for the national and NextGen para swimming programs at Swimming Canada and provides services to athletes supported through the Alberta Sport Development Centre. Tessa coaches many Paralympic sport teams including swimming, cycling, triathlon and goalball.

Regardless of which team Tessa is working with, her main goal is to provide research-driven training expertise in order to continually improve athletic performance and ensure that athletes stay healthy. Her spare time is usually spent travelling to new places, hiking in the Rockies or training in Olympic lifting.
